Where does the time go? It’s hard to imagine that Sophie’s birthday has come and gone and she’s practically a toddler already! After Sophie’s birthday, we headed back north with her Aunt Katie in tow for the week. We really had a great time and Sophie sure loves her Aunt Katie! We spent a day at Silverwood, a theme park north of Coeur d’Alene. I think Katie and I had the best time riding all the roller coasters while Chris and Sophie played in the water.

Once Katie went back home, it was time to get settled in with my Aunt and Uncle. With Chris away at work all day, you can imagine how slow that was. Someone wise once told me, “If you don’t laugh, you’ll cry.” Lately, that has become my motto.

I think the best part about living here with my Aunt and Uncle is all the company Sophie gets from her cousins. Isabel and Claire come to play with her often and she has learned tons from them! She learned to twirl when she dances from Isabel and she learned to climb up on chairs from Claire. Since moving here she’s also increased her vocabulary immensely. Her favorite word and things are fishies. It sounds more like shishies, though.
